Turin, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Juventus was held to a 1-1 draw by Inter Milan at Juventus Stadium on Tuesday to see its lead atop the Serie A table dwindle to just two points. AS Roma had claimed a 1-0 win over Udinese thanks to Davide Astoris first- header, sending the Romans level with Juve on 39 points apiece earlier in the day. The Old Lady responded by making a bright start on home soil as Carlos Tevez opened the scoring within the first five minutes. Arturo Vidal was the architect of the goal as the Chileans nifty turn in the box resulted in a square pass in front of goal where Tevez was arriving to tuck home his league-leading 11th strike of the season. Juventus continued to dominate and nearly doubled its advantage in the 35th minute when Paul Pogba penetrated the Inter defense with a silky move, but the Frenchman was unable to beat Samir Handanovic with his ensuing attempt. The hosts were made to pay for their wasted chances as Inter climbed level in the in the 64th minute. Fredy Guarin threaded the needle to find Mauro Icardi on the right side of the penalty area and the Argentine made the most of Inters first shot on target, slipping his attempt past the on-rushing Gigi Buffon from a tough angle. The equalizer opened up the match as both sides pushed in search of a go-ahead goal. Juventus fancied its chances after Mateo Kovacic was sent off for his part in a minor skirmish four minutes from time, but the Old Lady failed to find a breakthrough, putting the club on 40 points through 17 games. AC Milan squandered an early lead at the San Siro to suffer a 2-1 loss to Sassuolo. Andrea Poli struck in the ninth minute to give the hosts the lead, but Sassuolo stole all three points thanks to Nicola Sansones equalizer in the 28th minute and Simone Zazas winner in the 68th. Atalanta also let a lead slip as the club wasted a two-goal advantage to settle for a 2-2 draw at Genoa. Davide Zappacosra and Maxi Moralez had given Atalanta a comfortable lead, but Iago Falque converted a 51st-minute penalty to cut the deficit in half before Alessandro Matri brought Genoa level in the 69th minute. Palermo claimed three points in convincing fashion as the club ran out to a 5-0 home win over 10-man Cagliari. Michel Morganella and Ezequiel Munoz netted a goal apiece inside the opening 10 minutes, but it was Daniele Contis red card in the 26th minute that allowed the hosts to put the victory beyond any doubt. From there, Paulo Dybala produced a brace and Edgar Barreto tacked on a fifth to see Palermo complete the rout. Andrea Costa scored the lone goal for Parma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini to grant the club a 1-0 victory over nine-man Fiorentina. The goal came 11 minutes into the match, and it held up as the winner as Mario Gomez failed to a convert a penalty in the 34th. Late red cards to Gonzalo Rodriguez and Stefan Savic left Fiorentina with no way back into the match. Cesena sunk to the bottom of the Serie A table after a 4-1 home thrashing at the hands of Napoli. Jose Callejon got the visitors off the mark in the 29th minute while a brace from Gonzalo Higuain and an own goal from Daniele Capelli put Napoli in cruise control. Franco Brienza pulled on back for Cesena in the 75th minute, but it was nothing more than a consolation goal. Brandon Marshall Jersey . Bjoergen pulled away from Swedens Charlotte Kalla on the final straight to win in 38 minutes, 33.6 seconds and defend her title from the 2010 Vancouver Games. Kalla was 1.8 seconds back. Heidi Weng of Norway took bronze. C.J. Anderson Jersey . According to Dave Stubbs of The Montreal Gazette, preliminary talks have begun between Markov - an unrestricted free agent this summer - and general manager Marc Bergevin. http://www.thebroncosstoreonline.com/Yo ... t-Jerseys/. The 27-year-old forward has informed the Leafs that he will be unable to play in Monday nights home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Donald Stephenson Jersey . You can, too, Clay Buchholz, if we ignore the sixth inning of Game 2. Doug Fister and Jake Peavy, youre up next in Game 4 and theres a lot to live up to. Demaryius Thomas Jersey . After two months of mediocrity, perhaps the Washington Nationals have turned the page. Strasburg struck out 11 in seven innings Wednesday night and the Nationals kept the Philadelphia Phillies bats quiet yet again in an 8-4, rain-interrupted win.DETROIT -- Even one of Matthew Staffords interceptions quickly turned into two points for Detroit. That was just part of a smothering performance from the Lions defensive front in a 19-7 victory over the Green Bay Packers. "I think we have an opportunity to dominate every particular game," Ndamukong Suh said. "As long as we hone into our keys, get off the ball and do what were taught and execute." Suh and the Lions pressured Aaron Rodgers throughout, and Detroits injury-plagued secondary was never a problem Sunday. Don Carey returned a fumble 40 yards for a touchdown, and the Lions held Green Bay to 223 yards of offence. Detroit (2-1) came in with a secondary decimated by injuries, but Rodgers couldnt take advantage. He was sacked twice and threw for only 162 yards, and Green Bay (1-2) wasnt any better when running the ball. "Theyve got a good defence. Youve got to give them credit," Rodgers said. "As well as our defence played today, we scored seven and we gave up nine with our offence. They didnt even need to score." Stafford was 22 of 34 for 246 yards with two interceptions. The Detroit quarterbacks second interception -- on third-and-long in the second quarter -- actually worked out in his teams favour. His deep pass for Calvin Johnson was picked off near the goal line by Davon House, and although the play was initially ruled a touchback, a review gave Green Bay the ball at its own 1-yard line. The Packers tried a run with Eddie Lacy, and linebacker DeAndre Levy caught him in the end zone for a safety that put Detroit ahead 9-7. "Our defence did an outstanding job of getting off the field all day," Stafford said. "Against that group that they were going up against, that was pretty awesome." Detroits offence finally scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 26-yard run by Reggie Bush. Safety James Ihedigbo (neck) and cornerback Cassius Vaughn (ankle) were inactive for Detroit, which has also lost defensive backs Bill Bentley and Nevin Lawson to season-ending injuries. Linebacker Stephen Tulloch left in the first quarter after hurtting his left knee while celebrating a sack.dddddddddddd After sacking Rodgers, Tulloch jumped through the air and looked as if he was trying to mimic the Green Bay quarterbacks "title belt" celebration, but then he fell to the ground. He tried to play on, but left the game a short while later. "Ive played nine years in the league and Ive never missed a game," Tulloch said. "Ive been fortunate enough to take care of my family and do some good things in the league. I made a play on the quarterback to help my team and unfortunately I got up and in the celebration, and it happened. "Im not embarrassed." The Packers lost despite forcing three turnovers. They tried to establish the run a bit early, and that backfired when Lacys fumble was scooped up by Carey. The defensive back went all the way to the end zone for a 7-0 lead. Carey hadnt played in Detroits first two games this season because of a hamstring problem, and he left this game after aggravating that same injury. Green Bay had won 15 of the past 17 meetings with Detroit, and the Packers were 9-1 with Rodgers playing. The one loss he took part in came in 2010, when he left the game in the first half with a concussion. Green Bay lost that game 7-3 -- until Sunday, that was the only time since Rodgers became the starting quarterback in 2008 that the Packers were held to seven points or fewer. Last season, Rodgers was out with a fractured collarbone when Green Bay lost to the Lions 40-10 on Thanksgiving. Rodgers threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Quarless in the first quarter Sunday to tie it at 7, but the Packers never scored again. NOTES: Detroit rookie Nate Freeses job could be in jeopardy after he missed a 41-yard field goal at the end of the first half. He is 0 for 4 from beyond 40 yards this season and 3 of 7 overall. ... Green Bay LB Clay Matthews left with a groin injury, and House hurt his knee. ... Levy had nine tackles and an assist. Suh and Tulloch accounted for Detroits two sacks. ... Packers LB Julius Peppers sacked Stafford in the third quarter after the Lions reached the Green Bay 7, forcing a fumble that he also recovered.
